NEW YORK, NY — April 2, 2020 –Watermark, a pioneer in educational intelligence, launched its newest innovation — integrated reporting templates in its next-generation assessment planning and accreditation solution that allow a program to streamline the process of preparing for accreditation. Similar to its regional accreditation reporting capabilities, Watermark Planning & Self-Study allows a program to organize and link directly to a central body of evidence from ongoing assessment cycles and draft a self-study narrative, structured in a way that already aligns to the standards of its programmatic or professional accreditor.
With the ability to track outcomes, pinpoint curriculum gaps, and ensure assessment plans improve each cycle, Watermark Planning & Self-Study Administrators can now also generate a programmatic accreditation report from the system. By streamlining and centralizing these processes, administrators and program chairs can now spend less time on data management and more time evaluating a program’s effectiveness in meeting thresholds for established outcomes, demonstrating achievements, and identifying improvement actions.
In this initial release, Watermark has made accreditation reporting templates available for business programs seeking AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS, ACBSP, and IACBE accreditation, as well as education programs seeking CAEP and AAQEP accreditation. In the coming weeks, templates for other programs, including social work, engineering, and nursing, will be available. What all administrators can expect is an easier, centralized approach to preparing self-studies that reduces the amount of time spent on organizing and formatting, encourages collaboration and reflection among contributors, and increases consistency and transparency in tracking progress and reporting efforts across campus.
“We understand that many programs continue to struggle with disconnected data and technology systems, making it challenging both to use their data effectively and to demonstrate the meaningful improvement of student learning and program outcomes — a key requirement for professional accreditation. With this innovation, we look to streamline the process for reporting on those efforts by providing centralized access to the kind of data needed to evaluate program effectiveness, so that your program can continue demonstrating evidence-based improvements,” said Matt Bartel, Watermark’s Chief Product Officer.
In January, the company released a direct data integration between Watermark Planning & Self-Study and the company’s next-generation outcomes assessment solution so that institutions can more easily leverage student learning outcomes data to inform their institutional improvement efforts. In addition to Watermark Navigator, a centralized access point for users of multiple Watermark solutions and the recent partnership and integrations with Ellucian, this release reinforces the company’s commitment to streamlining core institutional processes, centralizing previously siloed data, and supporting better reporting so institutions can continue to make data-informed improvements to student and institutional outcomes.
In April, the company will host a webinar to demonstrate how Watermark Planning & Self-Study supports program quality assurance.
